I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis as a fitness specialist from San Diego State University. My specializations are in muscle hypertrophy, fat loss/weight loss, and sports performance. Due to my no-nonsense approach to training and unique perspective on program design, achieving incredible results becomes habitual for every client. Individual programs and workouts are specifically tailored for each person based not only upon their goals, but also their lifestyle and activity level. By combining science with practicality, I aim to break everything down and focus on what's important to make your experience the most successful and enjoyable as possible.
My personal brand of training is focused on restoring proper movement patterns through functional exercise to ensure optimal performance in our daily lives. This focus is best achieved using self-myofascial release techniques and tools with high versatility such as kettle bells, TRX, and medicine balls.
Being a personal trainer means much more than coaching better exercise methods and lifting form, it is the opportunity to change lives and ultimately enhance the quantity and quality of the training time for each and every person I work with. My time spent away from the gym involves spending time with family, playing around with kettle bells, playing and watching basketball, or taking trips to dog beach with my two year old lab, Mia.
