I have always considered myself "just a walker" because I never felt that strong. I was never much of an athlete and just assumed that was how I was wired. Turns out that I needed the right trainer to bring out my potential! I am never able to push myself as hard as Jess does. She is great at encouraging me and pushing me to see that I CAN do it. I love working out with her and always feel great. We only have 1 body in this life and we need to take care of it. Jess is the gal for the job. I HIGHLY recommend Jess!!

2 years after giving birth to my last child, I was 20lbs heavier then I was the day after I gave birth. I was so incredibly depressed and chronically fatigued. I had "tried" so many different things, bought equipment, bought programs, attended weight loss groups, bought shakes and meals, but I just couldn't stick to anything. Once again, I decided to try something new, a personal trainer, with hopes that maybe I'd have someone to be accountable to.

So the search for the right PT began. I am a researcher! I knew that I wanted a female trainer who was National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) trained, with a great reputation and reviews. I scoured the town, checked out references and validated credentials of the best the Placerville area had to offer, and found only one who fit the criteria: Jessica Miller.

I met with Jess in February for the first time, and right away loved her. I've had other trainers in the past, but none had ever been so knowledgable, sharing with me the how's and why's of the things we were doing. Jess bothered to get to know me, and spend a lot of time prompting me to *really* think about why I haven't been successful in my attempts to be healthy and fit before. She genuinely believed in me, and encouraged me in a way no one else had, and somehow managed to get me to start believing in myself too.

And then I joined her small groups! Which provided me with an even larger support system. Working out for the first time with other people who were more fit was overwhelming, but they were so incredibly supportive from the first minutes of class.

It's July now-and I'm down almost 20lbs, and have muscles I have never had! I have an amazing group of supportive friends I work out with 4 times a week at Action Potential. Even on the days I don't want to work out, I still show up because I would miss my girl time with my girlfriends. And I'm a better, healthier, stronger person for it.

As for Jess - she's pretty much changed my life by showing me how to change it myself! She's is an amazing person and now one of my closest friends. What she has created at Action Potential is so much more than just "working out", or going to group fitness classes with strangers. The clients of Action Potential are pretty amazing too. I would, and do, highly recommend Jess and Action Potential to anyone who is looking to change their life for the better.

Saying that Jessica is a great trainer does not do justice to how her training impacted my life. Jess trained and prepared me for the Los Angeles Police Department academy. When I started with Jess, I could not even do a push up or run a mile. Afterwards, I was able to do chin ups, never ending pushups, and run my first 5ks. I graduated the LAPD academy after 6 months of strenuous training and honestly know I would never have completed the physical tests without her help.

Jess motivates me every day to push through the rough patches. Jessica changed my life with her training. She genuinely cares about every client. Jess modifies workouts for each person individually. She will evaluate all aspects of fitness including your diet, muscular endurance, and cardio ability. She adapts to each client.

Through my training with Jess, she altered how I prioritize fitness in my life. I understand the significance of working out and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. No matter your age, size, gender, or fitness level, Jess is the perfect trainer for you! Jess will have you laughing through every workout and you will never regret a single session.

First, if you are an older woman, or man, Jessica is the trainer for you. I have been working with Jessica for a while now and just love her. I am 67, wayy overweight with, 2 bad knees, 2 bad ankles that have been sprained alot, various pulled muscles, bad feet, etc etc, and have a tendency to do stuff i shouldn't which results in more injuries. Jess has been so great working with me and my problems, going slow so as not to injure me more and guiding me along my way to better physical and mental health. she willingly works with my physical therapist to insure that we are not compromising the PT work. I was afraid a trainer would make me run and jump like some lean strong kid, but no, she understands my limits, I NEVER ran! I really cannot say enough good things about her, she is just a great trainer and I feel her rates are very reasonable too, it is a great investment for better health.

I'm 26 years old and have been a high level competitive athlete my whole life which includes winning two Division 1 National titles (Crew) in college. Through my athletic endeavors I've had the pleasure of working with the best of the best in terms of trainers, coaches, nutritionists, etc, and I can honestly say that Jessica Miller is one of the most outstanding in the field. She walks the ever so difficult line between being a mentor, friend and an spectacular trainer. Jessica realizes that just like blue jeans... one size does NOT fit all in the fitness world, and has the remarkable ability to tailor workouts to fit each of her client's needs. Whether you're getting over an injury, training for a marathon, trying to lose weight or simply trying to live a healthy, active life, Jessica Miller is your one stop answer. I'd recommend her to men and women of all ages and life stages.

Oh not to mention I lost 20+ lbs after just 7 weeks working out with her!

As I approached a big milestone birthday this past spring with some discouraging aches and pains (hip/lower back/elbow), I decided I needed to become stronger as I aged. I interviewed a few trainers in the area and Jessica was the only one eager to work with my schedule and my needs (another trainer would only work with HIS schedule)! I have equipment at home and travel a lot so Jessica has developed exercises I can do at home and while traveling in addition to our studio workouts. She also encourages me to go beyond my comfort zone (okay, I'm going on that 10 mile hike next week!) and is so personable I feel we will be workout partners/friends forever! I've never felt or looked better in my 50 years!

I have been working with Jessica for about 9 months now and I can honestly say "she's the best!" She is professional, but yet friendly and personable. I have learned so much from her. She is always prepared and ready to get to work. I know that she cares about me and is sincerely concerned about helping me reach my best potential. My husband has noticed the change in my body for the better and how much energy I have now since I started working with Jessica. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a great trainer that will be there for them. I consider Jessica not only my personal trainer but a good friend. She gets 5 stars in my book! Best regards

I was out of the gym for quite some time, I was working with a personal trainer for a number of years and then she moved out of the area. I never thought that I would find another one as wonderful as the the one I had untill I met Jessica. We hit it off from the start. She is kind and has a great heart and passion for helping you reach your goals. I look forward to going to my workout because it is tailored just for me and what I need. Jessica dosn't just focus on one thing she works your whole body each and every time, she keeps it fun and you walk out feeling good. I feel much stronger and have so much more energy. I would highly recomended Jessica to anyone looking for a dedicate, highly trained and passionate trainer. Cindra K.
