James has helped me with my yoga practise for many years. He teaches his class with great skill, personal attention, and a good dose of humor. He patiently encourages and leads each partisipant to his or her own edge, carefully adjusting and correcting along the way.
Yoga with James is enlightening, uplifting, and an incredible workout.

i am a 60 year old 3 year student of James Abney / www.newreflectionfitness.com. James teaches not only with his words but by his example and during class he walks around and will adjust our postures while reminding us to breathe or to soften the shoulders or unlock the knees and of course to never ever put any kind of a strain in the lower back. He patiently teaches on many levels at the same time so that every student is able to have a yoga workout customized by James to fit their age, health and ability. We older gals at METRO feel very fortunate to have James as our Yoga Instructor. I begin my morning yoga class feeling a little stiff and a little sore and leave feeling a little taller and a little stronger and a determination to extend the yoga practice into my daily routine. James teaches more than just how to do the Yoga, he teaches us to love the yoga we do.

James is a fabulous instructor. His bootcamp classes will definitely make you work up a good sweat. He also teaches the practical side of yoga and how the practice applies to everyday life. Typically, I exercise 5-6 days a week, and his classes are always the highlight of my week.
