I have known Ivens for over 5 years now and I must say he is truly a consummate professional. He is extremely motivating and knowledgeable in all fields of personal training. He has taught my wife and I how to get the most out of exercising and now we enjoy getting in shape rather than dreading going to the gym. Ivens also has taught us how to eat healthy and smart while also enjoying our food more. He has made us aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle that affords us the benefits of being fit. As a healthcare professional myself I really appreciate Ivens rare ability to keep the patient or client motivated enough to continue implementing what he has taught into a permanent lifestyle change.

I met Ivens a few years back while in PT for a lower back injury. He is the most knowledgeable trainer I've ever met and helped me more than words can describe in recovering from my injury and helping to strengthen my core while in PT and as a personal trainer.
I went back to Ivens a second time with a shoulder injury at PT where the Doc said I needed surgery. After PT, my injury magically disappeared!!
Ivens has also become a good friend and someone I would trust and recommend for all of my training needs. Talk is cheap.... Ivens comes through with action every time!!

Continuing on with the trend of these reviews I have nothing to say but positive when it comes to Ivens. I hurt my back a few months ago and was very reluctant to go to physical therapy due to past negative experiences with other physical therapists. Being that I am pregnant and had no other option for hope of relief I gave it a shot and was extremely happy I did. I believe Ivens knowledge of the body as well as his ability to listen to what my issues and concerns were resulted in a quick recovery. In addition to his great technical skills, Ivens has a great way with people making them feel comfortable and like friends to him. All of these qualities of professionals in his field can be hard to find – therefore if there is ever an occasion where I need to go back to physical therapy, need personal training or know anyone that is in need I would not hesitate to go back to Ivens or to refer friends. A big thank you to Ivens for all his help!

I have been involved in many athletic endeavors in my life, had many coaches and teachers. However I must say that Ivens has a special gift for making people fit. He is intuitive - knowing exactly what each individual needs to bring out the best in him or her. He is amazingly creative - always coming up with something new, taking simple movements and turning them into a great workout. I have been training with him for years now, and he startles me with something new at each training session.
Lastly, he is compassionate. As a physician, I refer many of my obese patients to him for weight loss, strength and endurance training and to improve balance and flexibility. My patients love him! He is gentle but at the same time firm enough to motivate the patients and kick some butt when needed.

Like everyone else posting, I have had an outstanding experience with Ivens during my physical therapy. I originally came for an injured back, and then came back some months later after a torn achilles tendon, which I am in the midst of rehabbing. The reason I came back after my second injury was in large part because of Ivens personal attention he gave me, his knowledge of his field, and the personal comfort I came to develop with him after just a short time. While for some individuals physical therapy is just an hour out of the day, I truly enjoy my time rehabbing with Ivens. He will push you the right amount to get you into the proper shape, without any of the arrogance that may sometimes come with the profession. I wholeheartedly recommend Ivens to anyone who is recovering from an injury, wants to get stronger or wants to just get into shape. You will not be disappointed.
