I tried to send you a message directly but the system wouldn't let me. You mentioned there are Tai Chi and Qi Gong stretches for the psoas. As a Martial Artist and Trainer, I'd love to hear more about this.

    Hi Ian,
I was thinking of exercises from the Twelve Postures; The 8 Pieces of Brocade; Dao Yin; and the 5 Animal Frolics, as well as isolating some movements from Yang-style. Are you familiar with any of those Qigong sequences or Yang-style Tai Chi? :D
If you want to email me: taichicircle@live.com
    Kind Regards, Heather

I've been taking Heather's Tai Chi classes at the Marsh for over three years. She is a great teacher and makes it easy and fun to learn Tai Chi. She makes the effort to get to know each of her students by name and likes to bring in different types of music to work out with.

I have been a Tai Chi student of Heather's and also assisted her in a Tai Chi for Arthritis class at the Marsh this spring. Heather is a dynamic, gifted, and inspiring teacher who thoroughly understands the depth of Tai Chi and how to teach to her students' needs -- from the very experienced to the very new. She is clear and patient and passionate about improving peoples' lives through Tai Chi and Qigong. Heather has demonstrated strong leadership abilities in developing programs and working with diverse groups within the community. She's a gem.

Heather's gentle and patient approach to teaching is a gift she shares with all her students. Always encouraging and positive, she creates the perfect environment for learning the practice (the art!) of Tai Chi.
