It depends on the location and the demographics in the area.
Need more information in order to provide you with a good answer (size, indoor/outdoor, group age range, frequency, etc.).
Just as Sherry said it depends on the triathlon's distance. What is the distance you are interested at?
Hands down the CSCS/NSCA. They also have a journal for their member with a lot of great information.
The simple answer to your question is no (or at the very least I'm aware of any such deals). Unfortunately, unless you work for a company that offers this benefit to its employees, you are out of luck.
Not much information has been provided here, but if I were you I would do an online search to find gyms close to you that allow trainers/fitness instructors to rent their space.
Liability insurance is not that expensive. My answer to your question is yes for various reasons. The biggest one is to protect yourself legally from unnecessary risks).
I keep client records for as long as I need to. Health history, workout recs and any doctor release letters (if available).
I have also heard great things about the ACE certification. I know people who have it and they are happy with it.
