It seems like it was just yesterday.. My Fitness career started when my daughter was two. My choice of being a 'stay at home mom' meant I couldn't afford a gym membership, so I created a plan! By becoming a fitness instructor I would get paid to instruct, have a gym membership and free daycare! Those reasons were so very self-serving and they changed my life for the better. It didn't take long to realize it wasn't all about me.

My passion was fueled by people! Since that infamous first step, I've obtained a variety of NCAA fitness certifications and also became a NCAA certified personal trainer. Balance Personal Training, LLC became my reality in 2005. In 2014 the dream of owning my own exercise facility came true. Hence the birth of THE FIT LAB!

Your health and fitness journey is one of the most important investments you will ever make in your life. Balancing life, work and health goals isn't easy, but it is do-able. The staff of Balance Personal Training and I immensely value the opportunity to help you reach your goals and improve the quality of your life. We will motivate and inspire you to accomplish your goals and we will be there to support you in living your BEST LIFE.

Debbie truly has a gift for motivating and encouraging people to be the best they can be. This was evident in her Boot Camp, as well as SPINNING's 8 Week Weight Loss Program and her aerobics classes. She always pushed me to give it my best, but never further than my body could handle. I'm not sure where the energy comes from so early in the morning, but she encouraged me to accomplish my goals and feel better about myself. After 4 weeks of camp (5 days/week) I not only dropped 10 pounds, inches and body fat, but felt better and had more energy than I have had in years. Thanks Debbie! I look forward to working with you again soon.

I am a relatively inexperienced runner. I only picked up running to occupy some free time and keep my weight down. Through the help and expertise of Balance Personal Training, I have been able to learn specific techniques that have proven immediate results. Balance PT has given me the motivation and knowledge to continue my running at a higher level.

According to the New England Journal of Medicine the average adult weight gain is 1-2 lb a year and holiday wt gain is just 1lb indicating adults never lose the holiday gain. One study showed the already over weight people had a holiday gain of 5lb or more. College students gained their holiday wt during Thanksgiving.
