Clearly there is no truth to the 'spot reduction' myth. My best answer--expend more calories this week than you consume. In reality, it's simply a question of energy balance. Expend more energy than you consume and you'll lose weight. Take care.

I like all of the answers. Great ideas. Any activity is good. My favorites--walking, cycling, hiking and swimming. If they're capable, I encourage senior clients to participate in some group exercise classes--any format--for the social interaction. Take care.

I mainly bicycle. High quality cycling shorts, a breathable, loose-fitting jersey, and, most important, well-fitting, hard soled cycling shoes with cleats (and my helmet!) with breathable, well-designed gloves, are what I like to take off in. Take care.
