I was formerly a Minor League Strength Coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates. My background also includes being a Personal Trainer and a Physical Therapy Aide in Long Island. My long term goal is to become a Physical Therapist. I found like so many others who have always enjoyed good health and minimal struggles with weight, that increasing in age and responsibility brings stress related weight gain, and health conditions that can make working out difficult.

I began training at the Baycare Wellness Center for a few months, but I wasn't doing anything to reduce my belly fat. I realized that I needed some professional help. I read the trainer's resumes and I saw that Chris had worked with the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league team, and that was important to me because I had torn a miniscus a few years back and had been favoring my knees ever since.

Chris didn't just put me through an exercise regimen, he explained things. He was patient when I hammered him with questions about how things work in the body. He made adjustments to my regimen when I was struggling with some hindering knee pain. He was careful to be sure that I wasn't doing any damage and he analyzed and explained what kind of pain I should be feeling and where. I was able to move past that period and start strengthening the muscles around my knees to give me more stability.

Chris gave me a varied regimen of resistance, circuit and cardio training to attack my belly fat and strengthen my core. But he did it in a manner that was enjoyable. We laughed and joked and yet worked hard. He has a nice demeanor that made the workouts endurable. I worked with Chris for a couple months and it really helped me.

In five months, I've trimmed two inches from my waist, and lost 20 pounds. I think I've gained some good foundational information to keep me moving forward and to help me reach my next set of goals. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Chris again if I needed.

Chris worked with me after shoulder surgery and was a huge help getting me back into great shape. Between conditioning, eating healthy, and stick to a daily routine I felt myself stronger and healthier within weeks. Chris has great knowledge and insight into what it takes to reach your optimal conditioning level, and I recommend anyone to work with him to achieve such results.

I met Chris at retro fitness in NY. I had worked out with 2 other trainers who left the company and felt like I was really wasting my time and money because I wasn't seeing any results. The workouts were not challenging at all. That all changed the day I met Chris. My first thought was how can this young guy know anything! But Chris turned out to be the most knowledgeable professional trainer I have ever known. He kept our workouts fun and interesting. We worked on different things every time we met and he made it really challenging. I lost 15 pounds and had a great time doing it! Chris is an extremely pleasant person and has a very positive outlook. He is fun to be around and will teach you everything you need to know in order to reach your goals. If I can offer a piece of advice it would be to book him now before he is completely filled up! I promise you will not regret it!!!! Cathy Hanges

Chris was my personal trainer for 3 months before he re-located to Florida. He was awesome! I always felt as though he pushed me to the limits but never too far or too hard. Chris always kept my fitness level and safety in mind. After our training session I always felt as though I had accomplished something I couldn't have done alone. Chris was very personable and kept the training professional. I highly recommend anyone hiring and working with Chris.

Chris has been my workout partner on a daily basis since we were Freshmen in college. Through the years, I have seen Chris grow not only as an animal in the gym, but as a professional. While I pursued a degree in business, Chris was dedicated to exercise science, and I'm thrilled he did. As we continued to work out together and build our friendship, Chris always had every answer for the human body, nutrition, and fun new workouts in the gym. He did this through the proper training, incredible mentors, and countless hours of studying. I used to lead the workouts when we were younger, but as we got older, Chris took the reigns and has showed me things I never would have even considered. Because of Chris, my wellness has increased due to his knowledge and teaching me the proper way. Chris is an amazing motivator, a great teacher, and an even better leader. Each person that trains with Chris doesn't just become informed on exercise science, but wellness overall. Since his inception as a trainer, I have recommended my mother, my girlfriend, and a former Division I basketball player at the Elon University to him; each coming back with stellar reviews. I am not saying this because of my relationship with Chris. I am saying this because it's true facts. He is the best and I would tell anybody to use his services!

I first met Chris in NY when he worked at Retro Fitness. I was introduced to him by the General Manager of the gym. At first I was intimidated and unsure of how it would go. I never had a personal trainer before and I didn't know if he would yell at me or what it would be like.

Chris ended up being really personable and made each session enjoyable. He seemed very knowledgeable and had a plan on how to attain my goals. I wanted to tone up and lose some weight and over those 3 months we did just that. I lost 15lbs and 3 sizes on my waist. We also had fun each and every session. Wish you would come back to Long Island! Hahah

Steven Minerva-Chris was my PT for 6 months at Retro Fitness on Long Island. I have had many personal trainers over the years and Chris remains by far and away the best. Besides being very personable he is also very knowledgeable in his field. Besides designing a personal workout regiment for me in also assisted me with my diet and nutritional needs and basically acted as a physical therapist in helping me overcome the injured portions of my body which included my shoulder and lower back. I wholeheartedly endorse Chris for anyone looking to hire a well qualified and well diversified personal trainer. P.S. tell him to come back to L.I.
