I decided to get into personal training as somewhat of a side job. I love working with people of all levels, in any specialization. My career is up in the air between well, this, and cardiac rehab. I've been a powerlifter since 2013, so admittedly I have some bias to that area. My best numbers are a 475lb squat, 325 bench press, and 518 deadlift. Throughout my childhood I played hockey, and continue to play in an adult league. During my high school days I also tried football, but track and field was a sport in which I found some success. In college I competed as a thrower in track and field. After my eligibility was gone I decided to drop some weight, cutting from 225 lbs at my heaviest down to 185. I'm a strong believer that mindset determines success in any goal, be it weight loss, promotion, attitude, smoking cessation, etc. Throughout my undergraduate classes I was lazy and didn't study, and it showed (finished with a 2.81 cumulative). Luckily Scholastica took a chance and let me further my education in their EXP Master's program. I showed them they were right to do so, finishing the program with a 3.88 cumulative GPA. One of my most important notes, however, is my kitty Maxy. His favorite game is when I try to pet him and he thinks I'm a cat toy and obliterates my hands... Anyway, that's the gist of it, feel free to find me on Facebook or Twitter!
