One year after the birth of my first child, I still weighed 185 pounds. I didn’t think much of the excess weight, as many of us don’t, because I was too busy thinking about my family and too busy with my job as a high school English teacher. Then one day, my husband offered to buy me a beeper—to warn people that I was backing up. While said in jest, it was the impetus I needed to get my life, my health, back on track. I changed my eating habits, started hitting the gym, and within one year lost 40 pounds; I’ve never looked back. Even through my second pregnancy with twins, I continued to exercise and eat well, habits I attribute to their healthy birth and to my quick return to pre-pregnancy size.

Today, I am even more passionate about exercise and “clean eating,” as I have watched my healthy habits continue to transform my body, my attitude, and my life. Because I wanted to share my passion with others, I decided to become a certified personal trainer. I feel I have finally found my niche, as through personal training, I am able to combine my two greatest loves: educating/helping others and exercising.

Mission Statement:

It is my desire to educate as many people as I can about the importance of exercise and proper nutrition, no matter what their fitness level. There is so much information out there about the “right” and “wrong” way to lead a healthier lifestyle, and I want to help my clients shuffle through all of the hype and find the program that is going to work for them. Each person has different goals, and it is my mission to help each client achieve his or her goals in a manner that is safe, fun, and effective.

Hobbies and Interests:

my family, international/domestic travel, learning new languages, reading, writing, tennis, theatre, cooking, fitness/figure competing

Training Philosophy:

Believe in you and all that you are, and you can achieve anything!

Client Base:

anyone who is interested in learning more about fitness and nutrition and who has a strong desire to make a commitment to a healthier lifestyle

As a client of Elizabeth now for almost a full year, I can honestly say that my life has changed. Not only did I start out a little chunky in Dec with her but I also hunted her down. I had a wonderful opportunity to work with her in the past but it was short lived and then I went about a year without her. And slowly my "bad habits" came back and pounds as well. So I hunted her down to find where she was working out at.... In Dec I started out as a chunky 129 and had lost all my muscle tone. She put me threw some great - hard - intense workouts and an ideal meal plan that works for me and I can proudly say that Im back to a 119 and toned up. and Im not done.....I cant imagine my life without her. I will make what ever arrangements I need to keep her in my life. Be it work schedules or money swaps. SHE IS WORTH IT!!! My husband is a huge supporter and has truly seen the transformation happen in front of him. He's always amazed that I can do things (like push ups, etc) that I could NEVER do before. In fact he will challenge me....in a good way. He's impressed!!! Anyone that can and wants to change their life - SHE IS THE WOMAN TO DO IT! You will not be disappointed. I tell everyone about her and people say all the time to me - what are you doing??? You look good....(cant believe I wrote that - I never talk about myself) but its all thanks to her and her abilities and talent. Thank you Elizabeth for all you do and pushes you give. I have my life back and you have client for life!

I finished my collegiate sports career in 2011 but wanted to continue an
active lifestyle so decided to enter a figure contest in 2012. Initially, I thought I
would be able to do it on my own; however, I soon discovered I needed help.
Elizabeth was referred to me by a friend. She has since trained and guided me
through two shows. During that time, I have not met anyone so dedicated, so
knowledgeable, and so able to produce such incredible results.

I weighed 112lbs, six weeks before my second show, Battle of Tide Water. I was underweight and need more muscle mass. She designed an individualized meal
plan and exercise program for me. I gained 5-6lbs before the show and have
never in my life been leaner or stronger.

Elizabeth choreographed my routine, trained me in the gym, formulate a personal
nutritional program, assisted me back stage, and directed my tanning, hair, and
makeup. She openly shares her knowledge to help me understand her methods
    of training.

Elizabeth is a phenomenal trainer, coach, and person. I highly recommend her
to anyone who has desire to improve their physique, whatever their goal.

Elizabeth is an astonishing trainer and motivator because she is a passionate trainer who strives to help her clients succeed in their fitness goals. Prior to training with Elizabeth, I decided that I needed to change my terrible eating habits along with my unhealthy lifestyle so I decided I needed a personal trainer who would help me get in change and motivate me to live a healthier lifestyle, which is why Elizabeth was my first choice in choosing a trainer. With the assistance of Elizabeth expertise in nutrition and exercise my life has changed significantly I have lost 10lbs from weighing 197lbs to 187lbs. I have lost inches all over my body and I have reduced my body fat from 20% to 15.3 % in six months, while steadily gaining muscle mass. Elizabeth is always dedicated, and I am always eager to go to next session with her because her workouts are always fun and every day is a new challenging experience.

I was Elizabeth's first client at One Life and it was truly a life changing event. Although I have been an accomplished Martial Artist most of my life, I had been reduced to the role of teaching for over 16 years due to a myriad of medical conditions including COPD, diabetes, heart condition, cancer twice, high blood pressure to name a few. In 6 short months, Elizabeth did what a slew of drs were unable to accomplish. She reduced my body weight by over 10%, increased my strength, flexibility and endurance expoentially but what is most significant is the few symptoms that I still exhibited from COPD are a memory as well as my diabetes and high blood pressure.
I am able to once again participate in the sport that I have loved for over 5 decades and I believe that the added quality of life Elizabeth helped me to realize will also contribute to the quantity.
By the way, I started with her when I was 63 years old and except for the abs (still working), have the physical characteristics of someone much less chronologically gifted.
Thank you Elizabeth from the bottom of my heart. You are truly loved.

Thank you so much, Jack! You took what I had taught you about eating to heart, and your decision to change the way you saw food has truly paid off for you! You gained so much in strength and endurance while with me, but what brings me true pride is to see you in the gym, pushing yourself just as hard as if I was right beside you, cheering you on!
Thank YOU for having trusted me with your health and well-being! Your confidence in me helped spark a true confidence in myself!
