btw there are TONS of yoga instructors out there now. Studios love running teacher training because it is a big money maker. So you should find, particularly if you offer pay that is industry standard for your geographic area, that you have no problem getting a wide choice of teachers. One sugges...

RYT just means registered on the alliance, and indicates no level of training or experience. 200, 300, o...

I work for a Y, and could tell you about some of the pay rates there, but the specifics will vary....

With vinyasa we often use stick figures. A sequence usually needs a page. I also like to film short sequences. It helps to remember methods of transition, which I think are as useful as the specific postures. And a memory stick holds quite a bit of info.

I think most of the professionals would be happy to speak to common sources for and fitness and wellness responses to stress, but if this is, as it seems to be, a question for school, it would be best to find some sources and put them together in an essay on the topic. Most schools frown on work th...

I've worked out on them to try them out, but I do not teach on them, and I do not think I would spend money for Pilates equipment classes. There is a facility I know that invested in 4 reformers and ended up putting them in a closet because they did not have enough use to justify the space they took...

Most Ys have pools so you might find a similar competition of interest as you mention before. Karin is right about targeting places like weight watchers. Water is a good place to build strength and to keep weight off of joints that are overstressed. You might look at yoga studios in your area...

Thank you for posting this. I could not understand at first what the question is, but in doing a bit of research I found out that National Fitness is a company that contracts with gyms to collect membership dues and to send those back to the clubs. It would seem that there are, to put it mildly, s...
