Adrianne has been my personal trainer at NASA Langley for the past 15 months. The results I have achieved to date are largely due to Adrianne’s encouragement, diverse training sessions, and just the right about of ‘push’ to keep me challenged while achieving my fitness goals. Because of Adrianne, I am now much stronger, more flexible, I have better balance, and my overall fitness is greatly improved. Even my posture has benefited from the training sessions with her. Adrianne is an excellent personal trainer and has my highest recommendation!

Since working with Adrianne for the past 8 months for two days a week (30 minute sessions), I have noticed a change in my overall strength and stamina, as well as a loss in inches in my waist. I broke my wrist in December 2011 and began working with Adrianne the following fall once I went through physical therapy. Adrianne provided me with exercises which strengthened my wrist which now allows me to utilize my wrist in my every day, normal routines again. We also focused on strengthening all of my bones in my body after learning from a bone density test that my levels for my age were minimal, and I needed to focus on strengthening them. Adrianne is very knowledgeable in every aspect of fitness and has provided me with valuable information to use outside of my strength training sessions. She has also provided me with nutritional information so that I can improve my overall health in addition to exercise.

I have attended several of Adrianne's fitness presentations and clinics. I am always impressed with the amount of useful material covered in each of Adrianne’s clinics and with her knowledge on each subject. I have learned something new at each of her presentations, and the application of these techniques has improved my overall fitness and has also served to diversify my workout routines. In particular she has taught some very helpful clinics on stretching and proper workout form. Her clinics that target specific muscle groups or specific sports activities have been especially useful. Adrianne is an excellent instructor and teacher in the field of fitness.

Adrianne was my first Pilates teacher while I was in undergrad at Longwood. She taught us the basics of mat Pilates and made it very easy to understand. Her love of Pilates is evident in her enthusiasm and her dedication to the practice of Pilates. She clearly had a deep understanding of how the body works and moves and could use Pilates to strengthen and tone the whole body. She was such a great teacher and mentor that I have decided to become an instructor also!

I studied Pilates Reformer with Adrianne Flinn at BodyBalance Studio in Williamsburg, Virginia. Adrianne’s knowledge of the Pilates technique allowed her to easily lead a group reformer class incorporating visualization images, hands on adjustments, and breathing cues in a smooth flow. Her effervescent personality made classes fun. Adrianne was attentive to each student providing either accommodations or challenges for each individual as the situation warranted. I especially appreciated her ability to break down a movement series so that I could understand the progression and breathing pattern. Adrianne consistently challenged me as a student while also making sure that I was safe by carefully adjusting and correcting my technique. I was always excited to go to her class knowing that I would get an excellent workout, a deeper understanding of anatomy, and an enjoyable class.

I joined the fitness center at NASA Langley in January of 2011. Adrianne was the first person I saw when I walked in the door. She was very pleasant and helpful providing me with information on how to become a member of the fitness center. On my first visit Adrianne spent time getting to know me and what it was that I wanted to accomplish. Her vast knowledge of the exercise equipment played a vital role in my exercise regimen. Her persistence and encouragement gave me the drive to want to do more. Once I had my routine down, she continued to help with suggestions on eating habits, reading nutrition label, exercises to do at my desk and adding new exercises routines. Throughout the year she plans monthly events geared to weight loss and weight training. Just experiencing her enthusiasm gets you motivated to participate in all that you can. At the end of the year I had a medical issue that kept me out of the fitness center over 5 months. When I was released to go back to the fitness center, Adrianne put together an exercise routine that I took to my doctor for approval. She is truly been a blessing to me! She is an excellent trainer and a truly delightful person!

I worked with Adrianne when she was employed at The Boar's Head Inn in Charlottesville. I started with her when I wanted to tone up a bit for my daughter's wedding but continued on for quite a while afterwards because I enjoyed it so much. Not only is she an excellent trainer but also a truly delightful person. The only reason I stopped was that she moved away. I still miss her.
