I am thinking of recertifying through NFPT since the CEU's of my current personal trainer certification is about $500 a year. Are CEU's that pricy or can I get it more reasonably for this certification? Having a Personal Trainer Certification for, let's say 20 years , can be cost prohibitive if the CEU's are too Costly.

The NFPT Program provides a thorough approach to certification that is broken into "modules" elsewhere. I believe that it is the best value for the quality received of any program. Affiliates are truly required to have a working knowledge of the fitness profession to achieve certification, and I applaud the high standards NFPT sets.
Why did I take away a star? No testing facility in my area for the Master Training Modules. Minor, but annoying as it requires a proctored paper test which has up to a month wait for results.

I liked the ease of use that NFPT delivered but the best aspect for me was the ability to split the payment. Most of the other certification programs ask you to pay up front. Customer service was also outstanding.
