Understanding Dynamic Warm-Ups >>

By Andrew Clark
The next time you are in the gym, at the fields or on the court, notice what other people are doing to prepare themselves for their workouts. Updated Exercise Recommendations for Type 2 Diabetics >>

By April Durrett
Do your currently train clients with type 2 diabetes or are you interested in working with this clientele? Then be aware that The American Diabetes Association (ADA) has updated its exercise recommendations for people with type 2 diabetes. Based on a thorough review of exercise research to date, the ADA now recommends varying amounts of physical activity, depending on your client's health goals.

The ADA defines moderate-intensity activity as that which raises your heart rate but doesn't leave you out of breath... >>

Tim Haft, a New York City resident and IDEA member since 1998, is one fitness pro who is reaching out to kids through Punk Rope, his class that combines his passion for jumping rope and punk rock. “I grew up listening to the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, the Clash, and have always felt a connection to the passion, energy, spirit and rebelliousness of punk,” he says...>>
