The Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a partnership between the William J. Clinton Foundation and the American Heart Association, has taken a major step in its fight against childhood obesity with its first industry agreement. Beverage makers have agreed voluntarily to stop selling sugared soft drinks to schools. Only bottled water, unsweetened juices and lowfat or nonfat milk products will be sold in elementary schools, while diet soda and sports drinks will still be offered at high schools... >>
