IDEA Personal Trainer of the Year
ELIGIBILITY
The IDEA Personal Trainer Award recognizes an individual IDEA member who is a certified personal trainer spending at least 15 hours per week actually training clients one-on-one and has demonstrated exceptional leadership, business management, motivational and instructional skills, and who has inspired his or her clients to greater personal growth and a higher level of fitness.

ELIGIBILITY
The IDEA Program Director Award recognizes an individual IDEA member who is a healthy role model, who demonstrates keen professional commitment through community and industry involvement and whose outstanding leadership or creativity inspires staff and influences both active and underactive people to commit to a healthy lifestyle through successful, creative and diverse programming.

IDEA Fitness Instructor of the Year
ELIGIBILITY
The IDEA Fitness Instructor Award recognizes an individual IDEA member who is a certified group fitness instructor and demonstrates strong leadership skills through community and industry involvement and whose superior instructional abilities and influence as an instructor motivate active and underactive people to commit to healthy lifestyles.

- Must be a certified fitness professional with active certifications (Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor awards only)

- Must submit application materials by 1/1/2014.
a. Resumé
Include a copy of your resumé, not to exceed three pages. The resumé should detail the number of years you’ve been in the industry, your current role, your major accomplishments and educational background, and the certification(s) you hold.
*Keep in mind, the preliminary application review will be based solely on the resumé, so please be sure this document includes any pertinent information you wish for the judging committee to know about you. The top applicants based on this preliminary review will have their entire application packets reviewed, and three candidates will be selected as finalists for the award.*
b. Headshot photo
Provide one digital, color photograph of yourself (preferably a head shot) that can be used in a publication and slide presentation. Photograph should be at least 300dpi and saved as a .TIFF file.

d. Letters of Reference
Supply two reference letters in support of the two stories in which you described how you or your program inspired a client.
e. Magazine/Newspaper Appearances (optional)
Include up to three newspaper or magazine clippings about you and your program(s) or facility. Please photocopy them on 8 1/2” x 11” paper, reducing clippings to fit if necessary. If more than three clippings are provided, they will not be reviewed as part of the application process and will be discarded.
