Anyone who is that defensive is clearly guilty of something, and/or is employed by said company.

That said, thank you Jamie Walker for the information. No one would take the time to list such specific details if they hadn't endured such struggles. Its evident who is truthful here.

You have to watch out for money making schemes these days...

Well that is exactly opposite of my experience Jamie Walker!!! I have taken three CEU courses from Spencer Institute and found them to be EXACTLY what I was hoping for, exactly what I was looking for. It almost sounds like you have an axe to grind toward people who are in business but it seems just kind of missplaced in this review.
The courses I took were well formatted, straight forward and each of them presented useful information. Not all of what I learned was considered EPIC because I have worked in this field for 20 years by now but still, keeping up on CEU's is par for the course for us and this company meets my needs perfectly. You should try the Wellness Coach program if you haven't. I found it to be refreshing and informative. A totally enjoyable experience. I also took NESTA's Biomechanics course and it had AMAZING information. I think their's something fishy about such a long rant that really makes no point but to slam an organization. Did you fail your exam or sumptin'?

Price point on these programs... may run a LITTLE higher but NOT FOR WHAT YOU GET. Programs similar to this cost triple the amount. I say GO WITH SPENCER. They are AWESOME.

I would not recommend taking any courses from these guys if you are looking for actual information. In fact, Ideafit is just an advertising organization like yelp, and it does NOT endorse or remove companies in any way.

Any one or organization can join this forum by just listing themselves. That said, literally anyone can create a course, and list it here... FIT-trepreneurs... you have your platform!!!

RE: Spencer Institute, this content is a joke at best, and bare-bones minimal at the least. Aside from the fact that the courses are literally riddled with typos, I was hoping for complete info, but continuously just sent riddling around in circles. I tried taking another course, hoping it would contain the info I was looking for, however, that course mentioned several times that if I wanted more complete info, I should take the next course..

Of course I tried calling and spoke at length with the very polite, but unhelpful office boy, who signed me up for another ended up having less content than the first two......
lets just say after about $800 in all, after going around the bend in these ring-a-ling 3-ring courses, I've come to the conclusion that there is consistently no complete coursework. No thank you, after these courses, I will not be interested in Nesta or Wexford for more information. (undoubtedly, there will be a poor reputation at some point.)

In my opinion, any course that starts off an opening section by pointing out that there are no governing bodies or agencies to gauge the accuracy or authenticity of any content or material in these courses... lets just say.. BINGO!... it all made sense...

While I appreciate the fact that these guys are making tons of money stringing people along the trail of building a profitable income in the Fitness and Wellness industry... it's apparently clear that they are reaping an interesting profit for themselves as well.

If you are looking for the "cheapest" place to go to get a little paper certificate with a swirly design on it...and if you just want that paper to say you are certified in something that sounds cool... Im sure you could do that anywhere..
I would still recommend doing a little more footwork to find another place.

I wish you the best of success in your Fitness and Wellness career. I pray that it will provide you with an honest living, and much enjoyment and peace as you travel. If you are looking for legit coursework to provide you with a wealth of current and useful information.. I am sure that you will find, it as there are many reputable organizations out there.

I am trying to go to the website but it says "error connecting to database". Is the spencer institute legit or a scam?

I've enjoyed taking my certification course at the Spenser Institute, I like it that they have a unique set of certification programs. I took Sport Hypnosis just out of curiosity, and I'm so happy I did, it was interesting, it had videos and audios and a textbook to download and it's given me a totally new and different insight on sports and fitness and my dance classes. They made it convenient and informative.
