Wellcoaches® Receives Patent
Wellcoaches has received a U.S. patent for its professional personal coaching method, which promotes health and well-being through online tools and one-on-one interaction. The patent, a broad business method patent that will be in force until 2022, was granted in May 2008, having been submitted for evaluation in 1999. Margaret Moore, chief executive officer of Wellcoaches, based in Wellesley, Massachusetts, noted that in addition to building its brand, Wellcoaches will grant licenses of the Wellcoaches brand, standards and patent to enable industry-wide best practices, including coach training, certifications and coaching protocols and tools.
