Teleseminars Boost Business and Exposure
Making News:
Whether you’d like to increase exposure in your community or network with possible clients, teleseminars are fast becoming the go-to way for professionals to share their knowledge. “Teleseminars have been an integral part of my marketing and value-added client services for years,” says Tom Terwilliger, IDEA presenter and president of Coaching Leadership Excellence in Westminster, Colorado. “[Teleseminars] have not only helped me grow my training business, but helped position me as the fitness leader in my community.” Teleseminars are similar to conference calls; they take place over the phone and provide listeners with training, education, product information and more. “They allow you to reach dozens—even hundreds—of prospects and clients very quickly and in a way that is extremely convenient for both them and you,” adds Terwilliger.
Want to host your own teleseminar? Terwilliger shares some tried-and-true tips for making the most of the experience:
- Determine your topic by surveying clients and contacts. Find out what their three most-pressing questions are regarding health and fitness and build your subject matter around them.
- Invite everyone you know to participate, and allow each to offer a spot to three of their contacts. This will help you grow your list quickly and increase your exposure.
- Start with a free service, such as www.freeconference.com. Once your numbers grow, try a paid program that offers higher-end service.
- Do not launch your teleseminars without mastering the process using a small group of friends. There will undoubtedly be unforeseen hiccups that you would not want to experience while under the scrutiny of potential clients.
