Repurposing Old Onions

If that last onion in the bag has started sprouting little green tendrils, don’t cry. Instead, repurpose it for future use by planting it. Put the sprouted bulb into a small flowerpot conveniently located on your kitchen windowsill. As the onion keeps sprouting, snip off the pieces and use them to season salads, soups or entrées.
