Rancho La Puerta Named Best Destination Spa
Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico, received Travel + Leisure magazine’s World’s Best Destination Spa award from its 2010 readers’ survey. The magazine invited readers to participate in its 15th annual survey, which does not include any identified travel-industry professionals. Founded by Deborah and Edmond Szekely in 1940, Rancho La Puerta is noted for being the world’s first destination fitness resort and spa. The schedule features a broad array of activities to stimulate mind, body and spirit. Deborah Szekely received the Inner IDEA Inspiration Award in 2008.
