Great article and I am a strong beliver in Aquatic Therapy and Aquatic Exercise for Performance. I did a similar approach in college at a local community college with elderly and geriatric patients/participants. Many of which had very limited physical capacities and range of motions.

The end result of the 2 month program (once to twice a week) was increased, energy, increased cardiovascular threshold, increased and or improved ROM and tolerance especially in arthritic areas. I love to see this program as a "fountain of youth" for our seniors as they love it and deserve a fun and interactive program.

i then studied the effects on youth in rehabilitaion therapy settings as an Athletic Trainer. the results were the same along with increased confidence in movement, spacial and balance improvements, gait and stride corrections to name a few. You should all try it, your clients will love it unless they can't swim or have a phobia of water. (Then thats another set of problems that needs to be addressed psychologically).
