Mindful Motivation

by Peter Davis, CEO and Kathie Davis on Dec 20, 2012

We are still feeling inspired and mindfully motivated from our 7th annual Inner IDEA Conference, held October 25–28 at La Quinta Resort & Spa in Palm Springs, California. This incomparable educational experience enlightened 450 Pilates and yoga instructors, personal trainers, mind-body studio owners and wellness professionals with the highest-caliber information in the industry. We were proud to be part of this unique vision of wholeness, and it was delightful to witness so many attendees accept the call for personal and professional transformation.

The nonjudgmental, supportive environment of Inner IDEA has set the perfect tone as we begin a new year. The IDEA community is strong and, hopefully, better equipped to deal with the daily stresses of life and work after such a rich, purposeful event.

We would like to again congratulate Lindsay and Moira Merrithew as the 2012 Inner IDEA Inspiration Award recipients. This award recognizes individuals whose outstanding leadership in the wellness field has inspired people toward mindful activity and a healthy lifestyle.

Moira and Lindsay are co-founders of Merrithew Health & Fitness™ and the creators of the STOTT PILATES® brand. This year they celebrate 25 years in the health and fitness industry. Their commitment to developing fitness programs, products and education that help people of all ages and abilities achieve a healthy lifestyle is why we chose to honor them.

Don’t Just Train—Inspire: 2013 IDEA Personal Trainer Institute™

The leading education experience for personal trainers is bigger than ever—and this year’s program has one purpose: to help you inspire clients to change their lives. This year you have two opportunities to attend, so choose whichever city and time frame suits your schedule better. We invite you to join us in Alexandria, Virginia, February 28–March 3, for PTI-East or to attend our debut PTI-West show in Seattle, May 2–5.

Inspiration is contagious, and the more inspired you are, the more motivated your clients will be to reach their goals. You’ll find more than enough inspiration at the 2013 IDEA Personal Trainer Institute, which has grown this year to include 116 sessions and 4 preconference workshops, presented by over 50 industry leaders, with more than 20 CECs available throughout the event.

Emphasizing bold new training ideas, techniques and tools, the conference will offer more session choices to help trainers expand into leading-edge areas of nutrition, wellness, positive well-being and specific-population programming. Attendees will learn how to take advantage of the most effective new social media, marketing and management strategies for driving business and income growth.

We hope you’ll be there to explore exciting new ways to Inspire the World to Fitness®, one client at a time. PTI-East has sold out each of the past 4 years, so make sure you register early to secure your spot.

Yours in good health,

Kathie & Peter Davis
