Keynote Presentation by World-Renowned Coach Cheryl Richardson
Cheryl Richardson is the author of The New York Times best-selling books Take Time for Your Life, Life Makeovers (Broadway Books) and Stand Up for Your Life (Free Press), and her new book, The Unmistakable Touch of Grace (Free Press 2005).
She was the first president of the International Coach Federation and holds one of its first Master Certified Coach credentials. She is also the recipient of the 2000 Motivational Book Award for Life Makeovers from Books for a Better Life, which honors the year’s most outstanding books and magazines in the self-improvement genre.
As a professional speaker, Cheryl has designed and presented programs to universities, Fortune 500 companies, educational conferences and professional associations. She was the team leader for the “Lifestyle Makeover Series” on the Oprah Winfrey Show, and she accompanied Winfrey on the “Live Your Best Life” nationwide tour. She writes a coaching column in Body + Soul Magazine and has an Internet talk radio program called “Coach on Call” on www.hayhouseradio.com.
In her inspiring keynote address for IDEA, she’ll share the many insights she’s learned about helping people lead authentic, passionate lives and working toward optimal health for mind, body and spirit. She’ll also talk about The Mind-Body Makeover Project : A 12-Week Plan for Transforming Your Body and Your Life (McGraw-Hill) by Michael Gerrish, her husband and an innovative fitness professional. Cheryl will discuss the real, hidden issues that sabotage people’s fitness goals and how they can learn to overcome them to achieve optimum health. She’ll also share her thoughts on how you, as a fitness professional, can have a profound impact on the world.
For the past 2 years at IDEA World Fitness, Club Without Walls sessions have pushed fitness to the limit. Now, they go one step further with two kinds of sessions. The first kind gives you valuable, hands-on experiences that provide you with skills and strategies you can take home to your clients. The second kind—Adventure sessions—is for your own personal enrichment. These sessions are designed to be fun and to give you the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge activities.
Most sessions take place outside, in such stunning offsite locations as breathtaking Red Rock Canyon. They provide the perfect chance for you to try something you’ve always wanted to do, but in a safe, structured way. For example, if you’re interested in skydiving but afraid of jumping out of a plane, now you can do indoor skydiving only 6–12 feet off the ground.
