Index to 2001 IDEA Articles

Where to look for information in 2001 issues of IDEA Health & Fitness Source, IDEA Personal Trainer, IDEA Fitness Manager and IDEA Fitness Edge.

Welcome to the 2001 index to IDEA articles, which combines the articles that appeared during the past year in IDEA Health & Fitness Source, IDEA Personal Trainer, IDEA Fitness Manager and IDEA Fitness Edge. This means that rather than having to refer to separate listings in the four publications, you can find in a single place all the information published under a specific topic. Please refer to “How to Use This Index” on page 66 for more information.

IDEA members can purchase back issues of 2001 IDEA publications for $5 each. Call the IDEA member services department at (800) 999-4332, ext. 7, or (858) 535-8979, ext. 7, to see which issues are available or to find out how you can subscribe to other IDEA publications. If you are interested in multiple articles on a given topic, please inquire about our Resource Series booklets.

The majority of articles found in our 2001 publications have been indexed according to the articles’ specific content matter, categorized by subject and listed in alphabetical order. However, due to space constraints, we have categorized certain articles under more general headings. For example, for an article discussing a particular disease (e.g., arthritis or cancer), look under the general heading “Disabilities and Diseases.” We have also cross-referenced some related topics to help you find information more easily.

All the subject headings and categories used in the index are listed below. It may be helpful to become acquainted with these categories before beginning your search. For your convenience, an “Index Key” explaining the abbreviations and symbols used is repeated throughout the index.
