Elisabeth Kahan, owner of Total Lifestyle Consulting, is a woman on a mission. "I am a single mother of 4-year-old twins and staying healthy and fit is essential," she says. "I want to inspire mothers of all ages, sizes and situations to take care of themselves and to be the best they can be." Knowing full well the challenges associated with motherhood, Elisabeth believes she has special insight into this population. "I have a deeper understanding of the challenge of continuing to nurture yourself while putting forth such a huge effort nurturing others." From this understanding comes the ability to create programs and strategies that Elisabeth believes even the busiest mom can integrate into her hectic week.

"If your mind is right, you can conquer anything," says Lucas Mthenjane, personal trainer and Capoeira and Zumba® instructor. "I motivate people by getting them to believe in themselves, to set realistic and achievable goals, and to have fun while training." Lucas finds that exercise variety can act as a great motivator, and he believes a change in scenery promotes growth and opportunity. "I like to encourage my clients to try different aspects of fitness," he says. "Trying different things enhances your outlook on life and the people around you, which helps to increase self-esteem." Lucas applies these principles to his own life and has begun working with HIV-positive clients.
