Glucosamine, Chrondroitin Help Knee Osteoarthritis
What's New:

Do you or any of your clients suffer from knee osteoarthritis? If so, you might be interested in the results of a recent review of all randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trials on oral glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate that was published in the July 14, 2003, issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine.
Researchers reviewed studies published or performed between January 1980 and March 2002 that looked at the effectiveness of oral glucosamine or chondroitin on knee osteoarthritis. They found that both were safe and effective when considering measures such as the Western Ontario MacMaster University Osteoarthritis Index, the visual analog scale for pain, mobility, safety and response to treatment.
Of course, before taking these supplements, you and your clients should consult with your physicians to see if either or both are right for you.
