C'mon Tri It!
What's New:

You may want to clarify for your clients that “triathlon” doesn’t necessarily mean a grueling endurance race for elite athletes in the hot Kona, Hawaii sun. Remind them that these multi-sport events come in many distances and are geared to participants of all ages and fitness levels.
Last July the AARP TriUmph Classic 50+ Swim-Bike-Run hosted more than 170 athletes in San Diego. This sprint-distance course (400-yard swim, 20K bike and 5K run) is the 22nd such AARP triathlon and participation is steadily increasing. Many competitors have exercised all their lives while others are just discovering the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
Eighty-year-old Bill Bell was the oldest participant to finish the course. To date he has completed 158 marathons and 31 Ironman-distance triathlons. “I’m in better shape now than I was in high school,” he says.
