At Unique Health & Fitness Club in Farmingville, New York, members who are new to exercise or need something with a slower pace can attend Zoga. This class combines modified Zumba® basics and simple yoga poses into a relaxing option for beginners and older adults.
ARC/Reformer Mania, found at M.D. Complete Fitness in Trinity, Florida, uses Balanced Body® ARCs and fast-paced Pilates exercises to increase participants’ muscular strength and endurance while enhancing balance and joint mobility. This class also incorporates many other props in conjunction with the ARC, including resistance bands, gliders and balls.
FitWalk®, a traveling bootcamp program, encourages participants to go outdoors and increase their fitness levels using local trails. This class, offered through BeFit® in Tuckahoe, New York, incorporates light weights, tubes and other easy-to-carry props. Participants of all skill levels are welcome, and skilled instructors offer modifications and progressions for all moves.
The Jackson Complex in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, offers an intense 60-minute class that combines plyometrics, high-intensity intervals and strength and body weight training to challenge attendees. T-12 Muscular and Mental Endurance is designed as a circuit with 11 exercises that last 20 seconds each with a 10-second rest between each move.
UXF Burn, offered at My Sports Club in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, uses high-intensity intervals and cross-training to improve participants’ flexibility, strength and endurance. This class, which comes in a 45- or 55-minute format, utilizes the facility’s UFX Training Zone. This premier space is equipped with a TRX® Suspension Trainer™, kettlebells, battle ropes, sand bags, agility ladders and sleds.
Yoga Del Mar in Del Mar, California, offers Wisdom Warriors to their participants 50 years and older who have a strong yoga background. The class follows a traditional yoga format, but slows everything down. It’s designed to motivate attendees by helping them increase their strength and flexibility so they can better manage a full range of poses.
At Sports Club/LA in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, members can participate in a variety of classes including Rev & Om and ABSolution. The former combines a 45-minute cycling session followed by 40 minutes of yoga. Participants may come to just one part of the class or both. The latter is a short 25-minute workout focused on building a strong core.
