Unexpected fusions and inclusive programming give these classes an extra jolt of innovative energy.

TabataRide, offered at various JoyRide® locations and based on Tabata™ workouts, is an indoor cycling class that offers high-intensity interval drills that include 20 seconds of top effort and 10 seconds of recovery, repeated for 4 minutes. This is followed by 1 minute of rest before repeating the cycle. The high-energy, super-athletic classes at this studio are designed to “torch calories and boost endorphins.” In addition, the instructors strive to provide authenticity, joy, humor and positivity.

Bo's Fitness Camps in Naples, Florida, offers an outdoor fitness and conditioning camp for people of all shapes, sizes, ages and fitness and skill levels. Bo's offers a three-fold approach to the “camp model”: modifications, timed sets and recovery techniques. The wide array of options are encouraging and safe and designed for each practitioner’s preferred pace. Instructors incorporate corrective exercise protocols to help improve postural alignment and joint function in every session. “We are not just another jumping jacks-push-ups-burpees style ‘boot camp,’” the website declares. “We like to think of ourselves more like a fitness ‘brain camp.’”

Stroller Barre® at FIT4MOM® in the Twin Ports of Duluth, Minnesota, and Superior, Wisconsin, is a 60-minute cardio and strength interval class designed to improve posture, stability and mobility. The choreography is inspired by barre, ballet, Pilates and yoga, and moms participate with babies and strollers in tow! The class helps new moms reconnect with their bodies, increase flexibility and develop the core strength needed for motherhood.

Tru BattleBoxing Express at Bfit Gyms, with locations in Oregon and California, is a high-energy 45-minute class where boxing meets battle ropes. This offering fuses the best of both conditioning classes, incorporating heavy bag work and battle ropes drills. Participants learn the proper way to throw a jab, cross, hook and uppercut. Also incorporated are high-intensity interval training drills with battle ropes that challenge core, stamina and strength.
