BE: The transformation at the 2012 IDEA World Fitness Convention™!
Come to beautiful San Diego to celebrate 30 years of industry progress—and create your own vision for a powerful future in fitness.
Where are you going to be on July 5–8? Come join us at the world’s biggest celebration of fitness and have a blast on the sunny Pacific coast, taking a fun look back through history—and an inspiring look forward to the future.
A lot has happened since 1982, when IDEA was founded to bring professional standards and education to the emerging area of fitness instruction. “In many ways, our industry—and IDEA members—have redefined what it means to be healthy,” says IDEA co-founder Peter Davis. “How we view health continues to evolve, and we’ll explore that evolution at the 2012 IDEA World Fitness Convention. For example, today we see a broader perspective of wellness that emphasizes personal responsibility, balance, wholeness and the integration of body, mind and inspiration. Clients increasingly want to develop not just optimal fitness and health but happiness and purpose in life. It isn’t enough for today’s fitness professionals to just educate people—they need to inspire them to take action, and [they need to] create extraordinary experiences that are life-changing.”
This year’s convention theme, BE: the Transformation, captures the essence of fitness professionals’ greatest challenge and greatest joy—to transform the lives of others. “We’re celebrating that power of transformation and giving fitness pros ideas and tools to fulfill that potential, not just with clients but in their own lives,” says IDEA co-founder Kathie Davis. “To inspire others, we need to be inspired ourselves. This anniversary celebration will ignite your passion and spark new ideas so you can go home and inspire the people around you to be healthier and happier.”
Fitness pros who attend the 2012 IDEA World Fitness Convention will enjoy four days packed with educational and inspirational opportunities.
