Americans Use CAM for Back Pain

Back pain is the most common reason Americans use complementary and alternative medical methods, according to the 2007 National Health Interview Survey. CAM approaches that are often used for back pain include chiropractic and osteopathic manipulation, massage, yoga, relaxation techniques, meditation, acupuncture and herbal supplements, stated Josephine P.
