2012 Personal Trainer Institute Assistant Roster

Please look for your name under your assigned shift below.  I will send specific shift information to you via e-mail about 2 weeks before the event. 

The conference is being held at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center.

Day Parking is $15/day.  Please see our website or brochure for additional parking/travel arrangements.

Assistants will receive 2 shirts to wear when working.  They are short sleeve t-shirts, so you may want to bring a layer for underneath (white or black preferably). Plan to wear black bottoms when working your shift.

Assistants are able to attend sessions on a space-available basis when not working their shift.  We cannot guarantee that you will get into every session you want to see because some are sold-out. 

 

Shift 1:  SETUP Assistants

Arrive Wednesday, 2/15 at 2pm. Plan to work about 4 hours Wednesday and work the 8am – 2pm shift in Registration on Thursday. Upon completion of the tasks, you will be able to attend the event Friday thru Sunday.

Shift 2:  Registration/Marketplace Assistants – help with Attendee and Presenter Registration

Registration is in Hotel lobby foyer, behind the elevators. Look for signs

Arrive Thursday morning at 8am (unless other arrangements have been made).  You work a morning and afternoon shift on Thursday and Friday and one shift on Saturday.  Specific scheduled will be sent February 6.  You will be working with Marco Velasco at Registration and Magali Sparks in Marketplace.

 

Shift 3: Pre-Conference and Conference Room Monitors

All 3 Preconference sessions begin at 9am on Thursday, 2/16. Please meet Dana at Attendee Registration between 7:45 and 8am  to get materials, shirts and a brief training.  The preconference sessions do break for lunch. Once the session is underway, you can leave for short breaks if you let a Captain know. 

Shift 3 Assistants will work as Room Monitors on Friday and Saturday – no Sunday assignment.

 

Shift 4: Conference Assistants –Will be assigned as Room Monitor, Videographer or Operations (OPS) Assistant. 

Mandatory Meeting Friday, 2/17 at 8am – check-in starts at 7:30am. Meet in the Beech room located on lower level of hotel.

Will work a shift each day (Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning).
