The hips and shoulders are designed to be some of the most mobile areas of the human movement system, but they can often lock up. Normal activities, such as walking, require extension, flexion, and rotation of the hips and shoulders. If this doesn't occur, compensations arise. Come to this workshop and learn an advanced self-myofascial release approach that is focused on identifying these patterns and creating myofascial relationships that will optimize movement and prevent injury.

This workshop will break down the elements of functional training, beyond just strength and performance, to include information that supports a complete lifestyle, including off-day recreational and cardio plans, flexibility, recovery and sleep. Participants will learn and practice the concept of movement variability to develop functionally strong clients. Specific functional exercises for warm-ups and workouts will be introduced, along with ways to vary a movement to create a wide array of functional patterns.
