Often, lack of client progress is due to dysfunction, which can be attributed to pain, injury or limitation in range of motion. Some people can't even handle their own body weight, let alone the forces that come with exercise. In this class, we will study exercise design strategies that intentionally require a client to go backwards (regress) in their training in order to finally make progress.

Time Block J - Sunday, 10:05-11:55am
Anatomy is often looked at as a constant, “This muscle attaches to these bones. It moves that joint.” For a body at rest, this may be a true, but for a body in motion, the conventional way to look at anatomy doesn’t tell the entire story. Outside influences affect the way our muscles respond and react. This session looks at anatomy from a principles-based perspective rather than an origins-and-insertions perspective. Myofascial connections and anatomical sling systems will be discussed as well as exercise options that complement these principles, leading to a truly functional experience.
