Presenter BiosDan Agresti, MS, is the owner of Real Life Fitness in Parker, Colorado. He has over 18 years experience in the fitness industry and specializes in personal, corporate and tactical training. He holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in kinesiology. Dan is a highly sought-after lecturer known for his extensive knowledge and passion for fitness. Biray Alsac-Seitz, MS, is a fitness technologist and instructional designer. She specializes in eLearning and uses interactive technologies, exergames and social media tools to enhance fitness programs and develop educational trainings for professionals and organizations in the health, medical, exercise, fitness, wellness and public health industries. As a consultant, she helps her clients design, deliver and evaluate new programs.
Gavin Aquilina is an exercise scientist and nutritionist with 23 years in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, a personal trainer manager and a facility owner. Gavin is considered to be a pioneer of mainstream personal training and trainer education in Australia. He is a consultant to Life Fitness U.S. and has presented in over 40 countries.
Mitch Batkin, MA, is the senior vice president of fitness for Sport & Health Clubs in Maryland and Virginia. With more than 31 years in the industry, his experience encompasses supervising the fitness operations for several hundred health clubs (including personal training, group exercise, tennis, aquatics, mind/body and all other revenue generating programs.) Mitch holds a master’s degree in exercise physiology and a bachelor’s degree in nutritional biochemistry.
Don Bahneman, MS, has been in the fitness industry for more than 18 years and has held multiple management positions with the Wellbridge chain of mega-clubs, as well as in private clubs and spas. Don’s early professional experience includes working as a strength and conditioning coach with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He holds a master’s degree in human performance from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Certifications: ACE, NASM, NSCA
Eric Beard, MS, is the senior education specialist for the National Academy of Sports Medicine® (NASM). As a licensed massage therapist and trainer, he has successfully blended manual therapy and corrective exercise techniques for the average gym goer, elite professional athletes and Olympians. For more than a decade, Eric has been delivering powerful and entertaining presentations worldwide. Certification: NASM
Jenna A. Bell, PhD, RD, is the co-author of Energy to Burn (Wiley 2009) and Launching your Dietetics Career (ADA 2011). She is a registered dietitian and holds a doctorate degree in exercise physiology. Jenna is an international presenter and co-owner of Swim, Bike, Run, Eat! Jenna is a two-time Ironman® finisher, marathoner and the 2012-2013 chair-elect for the Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group for the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
Mike Bracko, EdD, is the director of Dr. Bracko’s Fitness and the Hockey Institute. In addition to being a writer, hockey skating coach, fitness educator and media consultant, Mike has expertise in back injury prevention and ergonomics. He is an active volunteer with ACSM and IDEA, and he holds a master’s degree and a doctoral degree in exercise science. Mike is the author of 24 fitness, sports performance and hockey DVDs. Douglas Brooks, MS, is the director of programming for both BOSU® and RealRyder® Indoor Cycling. An ex-Ironman® triathlete, Douglas is currently the director of athlete conditioning for Sugar Bowl Ski Academy. He was inducted into the National Fitness Hall of Fame and has been honored by CanFitPro as the International Presenter of the Year. Coach Brooks is also the author of numerous books.
Amanda Carlson-Phillips, MS, RD, is the vice president of nutrition and research for Athlete’s Performance & Core Performance in Phoenix. She is a registered dietitian who holds master’s degrees in sports nutrition and exercise physiology. In her role at Athletes’ Performance, she helps athletes achieve their maximum performance potential through the integration of effective nutrition. Amanda is an advisory board member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietetics Association and EAS.
Vincent Carvelli is the president, education director and biomechanics instructor for the Academy of Applied Personal Training Education. He is a nationally recognized continuing education provider and holds a bachelor’s degree in health science and human development. Vincent is the creator of a 2-year exercise specialist curriculum, approved by the New York State Education Department. He has been active in the industry for 22 years. Ajit Chaudhari, PhD, is a biomechanical engineer and assistant professor at Ohio State University. His research focuses on understanding athletic injuries by studying the human body as a mechanical system. Ajit’s work has been published in many scientific journals including the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research and Medicine and Science in Sports & Exercise. He is the chief technology officer and co-founder of Perfect Practice, Inc.
Fabio Comana, MA, MS, is the director of continuing education for NASM®, and a faculty member at San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego. He was the original developer of ACE’s IFT™ model and led development on their personal training educational workshops. Fabio has a wealth of experience working as a collegiate head coach, strength and conditioning coach, and club manager for Club One. Certifications: ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA
Rodney Corn, MA, is a co-founder of PTA Global and an adjunct faculty member at the University of San Francisco and California University of Pennsylvania. With over 20 years in the fitness industry, Rodney has traveled worldwide presenting at numerous conferences, sharing his experience in wellness, sports performance and corrective exercise. He holds a master’s degree in biomechanics, and is a fellow of applied functional science with the Gray Institute. Certifications: NASM, PTA Global
Todd Durkin, MA, owns Fitness Quest 10 and Todd Durkin Enterprises in San Diego. He is a human performance specialist, bodyworker and motivational speaker who trains dozens of elite, high-profile NFL and MLB athletes, including two Super Bowl MVPs, Olympic gold medalists, and Heisman Trophy winners. Todd is a past recipient of the IDEA and ACE Personal Trainer of the Year awards. Certification: NSCA
Gail Sophia Edgell is the co-founder of Holistic Marketing Mentors, where she assists wellness professionals with the foundational component of their businesses. Gail founded the largest personal training and wellness consulting business in Eastern Pennsylvania. She is also the co-host of the weekly blog talk radio show, Magnificent Menopause and Beyond. In addition, she has worked in corporate wellness for over 25 years and implemented hundreds of wellness initiatives for Fortune 500 companies.
Shannon Fable, 2012 IDEA Instructor of the Year finalist and 2006 ACE Instructor of the Year, is the founder of Sunshine Fitness Resources, a consulting firm for aspiring fitness educators, manufacturers and managers. Shannon is a 15-year fitness veteran and master trainer for Schwinn®, BOSU®, ACE® and Power Systems®. She serves on the ACE Industry Advisory Panel, and is a certified Book Yourself Solid™ business coach. Certifications: ACE, AFAA
Nico Gonzalez is a fitness educator with over 18 years experience in the industry. As a faculty trainer for Balanced Body®, he conducts trainings worldwide. He is currently the fitness director for Mercy HealthPlex, a hospital-based wellness facility in southwest Ohio. Doug Gray is an accomplished businessman and entrepreneur. He is the director of GIFT (Gray Institute for Functional Transformation), as well as a faculty member and fellow of Applied Functional Science™. Doug has worked extensively with coaches, trainers, therapists and professional athletes. He has participated in the development, production and delivery of numerous seminars and videos dealing with functional prevention, rehabilitation and performance enhancement, including the 3-D Matrix Performance Series.
Sean Greeley is the president of NPE, LLC, a multimillion dollar, industry-leading company that is recognized worldwide for helping coaches master the business of fitness. As a fitness business owner himself, he far surpassed what many of his peers have only dreamed of accomplishing“by creating a 653-strong client base in just 3 years. Sean’s motivating message of “making the most of what you’ve got” is the foundation upon which his business is built.
Steven Hertzler, PhD, RD, is a senior research scientist for Abbott Nutrition. His expertise lies in sports nutrition and carbohydrate metabolism. Steve holds a doctorate degree in human nutrition and has been a registered dietitian since 1988. He is an author on 20 peer-reviewed research articles, was on the nutrition faculty at Ohio State University for 7 years, and has 3 years of experience as a clinical dietitian.
Julieanna Hever, MS, RD, is an advocate of the miracles associated with following a whole-food, plant-based diet. She is the host of What Would Julieanna Do? on the Veria Living Network, and is the co-author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Gluten-Free Vegan Cooking. A registered dietitian, Julieanna counsels a variety of clients with various nutritional and/or medical concerns. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nutrition.

Scott Jackson is the owner of Real Life Fitness in Nevada City, California, a personal training and postrehabilitation business. A certified personal trainer for 18 years, he earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Scott Josephson, MS, RD, is the senior vice president of operations for Golds Gym in Northern Virginia, a well-recognized conference presenter and the recipient of the 2010 Specialty Presenter of the Year for CanFitPro. Scott holds a master’s degree in exercise physiology and has expertise in sports nutrition, healthy weight achievement and dietetics. Scott also serves on the international advisory boards for CanFitPro and AFPA.
Shari Kalkstein is the owner of Fortify Your Frame, Inc., an exercise program geared toward establishing stability in older adults. She also operates a fitness studio where she offers core classes for pre/post-natal women, as well as comprehensive balance and strength assessments. Shari is a presenter for Cross Country Education. Kevin Kearns is the founder of Burn With Kearns Fitness. Armed with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, he has over 23 years experience in the fitness industry and an extensive background in the martial arts. David Kittner is a master trainer for Dynamax® Medicine Balls. Len Kravitz, PhD, is the program coordinator of exercise science and a researcher at the University of New Mexico where he received the Outstanding Teacher of the Year award. Pat McCloskey, MS, is the director of training for One To One Fitness in Washington, DC. His clients range from novice exercisers to professional athletes. Pat holds a master’s degree in exercise physiology and has been a fellow of Applied Functional Science™ at the Gray institute since 2007. He specializes in applying corrective strategies, and most recently worked as the strength and conditioning coach for the U.S. U20 women’s national soccer team.
Christopher McKenzie, PT, is a practicing physical therapist and an adjunct assistant professor at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He has considerable experience working with athletes from amateur sports, collegiate athletics and the professional ranks. Chris specializes in core strengthening and is the co-inventor of the Level Belt lumbopelvic training and testing device. Christopher Mohr, PhD, RD, is the co-owner of Mohr Results, Inc., in Louisville, Kentucky. He is a nutrition spokesperson and consultant to Gatorade®, the National Dairy Council® and Nordic Naturals®. A consulting sports nutritionist for the Cincinnati Bengals and for Under Armour®, he also serves on the advisory board for Men’s Fitness magazine. Chris is a registered dietitian and holds a master’s degree in nutrition and a doctoral degree in exercise physiology.
Teri Mosey, PhD, is the founder of Holistic Pathways LLC, an education company specializing in holistic nutrition and lifestyle coaching. She has 15 years experience as a consultant, educator and exercise physiologist. Teri strives to assist others to discover their personal path to wellness. Cassidy Phillips is the founder and CEO of Trigger Point Performance Therapy™ and is a biomechanical specialist concentrating on sports performance and injury prevention. Having been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, it became his personal mission to understand muscular structure and the regeneration of dysfunctional muscle tissue. Fraser Quelch is the director of training and development for TRX® and is the creator and lead educator of the TRX Suspension Training® program. He is the recipient of the 2011 IDEA Program Director of the Year and the 2011 ECA Innovative Program awards. Featured in the Washington Post and Chicago Tribune, Fraser is a renowned expert in the fields of functional training and endurance athletics, and has presented at conferences and events worldwide.
Rochelle Rice, MA, is the president of In Fitness & In Health, in New York City. She is a recognized speaker, author and educator for the plus-size population and the author of Real Fitness for Real Women. She is also an advanced somatic experience practitioner. Rochelle earned her master’s degree at NYU specializing in her plus-size exercise program and is a graduate of the CHRIS® Technique.
Brian Richey is the owner and operator of Fit 4 Life DC and he holds bachelor’s degree in exercise science and kinesiology. A personal trainer for 20 years, Brian instructs for the American Academy of Health, Fitness and Rehabilitation Professionals (AAHFRP) conducting workshops throughout the U.S. He is known for his work as a post rehabilitation conditioning specialist and program director. Jeremy Shore is the education director for Dynamax® Medicine Balls and has been a personal trainer and strength coach for more than 15 years. Jeremy has made appearances on the The Doctors and The Rachael Ray Show, and is an on-air contributor to Men’s Health magazine. He is the co-host of the YouTube show 30-Second Fitness and a fitness advisor and host for Livestrong.com. Certification: NASM

Peter Twist, MSc, is the president and CEO of Twist Sport Conditioning™ and is an exercise physiologist with a specialization in coaching science. An experienced conditioning coach and published author of numerous books, DVDs and articles, Peter is also the global education partner for IMG's Ignite Performance Training certification. He has received awards from the NSCA and CanFitPro, and is the recipient of the 2010 IDEA Program Director of the Year award.
Brody Welte is the founder of Stand Up Fitness and creator of PaddleFit™. His passion is introducing new people to the sport of stand up paddling and training athletes in this, as well as other sports. Brody was named the 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year by the St. Petersburg Young Professionals Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology. Certification: ACE-CPT
Keith B. Wheeler, PhD, FACSM, is the global director of performance nutrition, research, development and scientific affairs for Abbott Nutrition. He holds a bachelor’s degree in life science, and a master’s degree and doctorate in nutritional biochemistry. A Fellow with the American College of Sports Medicine and an elected member of the American Society for Nutrition, Keith has worked with professional teams and organizations on the topic of performance nutrition.
Chuck Wolf, MS, is the director of Human Motion Associates in Orlando, Florida. He is known for his expertise in functional anatomy, movement analysis, function and advanced program design. Chuck teaches workshops, presents at conferences and conducts seminars with fitness professionals and elite athletes from a wide array of sports.
