Standing Hamstring Curl

This hamstring exercise progression is great for strengthening the back of the leg. First, cross the bar behind you and hook it onto your opposite ankle. Lean forward and slightly extend the hip. Curl the heel up towards your glutes contracting the hamstring and controlling it on the way down. As a progression, lean forward a little further to increase the amount of gravity that's acting against the bar. Focus on the hamstring of the working leg and also the hamstring of the support leg.
