Squat on Top with Contact Point

This lower body exercise progression is a squat sequence. Use a weighted bar and a BOSU balance trainer. If you don't have a weighted bar, you could use a dowel or even a broom. Start by adding a contact point by holding on to your weighted bar and standing nice and tall. Perform a squat, sit back into the heels and then come back up. As you come down, press the bar forward, but also keep the shoulders back. Now, to increase the difficulty, take away the contact point and hold the bar low as you squat. Hold the bar low, bring it over the knees, and then come back up. Our third and final progression adds rotation. Squat down and rotate around the legs with the bar, come back up and then go to the other side. Add a balance progression using the BOSU balance trainer.
