The snatch is a classic power move and can be done either with a dumbbell or a kettlebell. Start with the rectilinear or the straight up and down snatch. Come down and drive up through your hips and punch up hard, bringing the kettlebell overhead. So it comes straight up and down on the body. For the progression, perform this as the curvilinear snatch. Now the movement is round and comes up overhead in a circular motion and comes back down. Again, swing it down in between the legs, driving it down between the hips, punching that hand up, and bringing the kettlebell up super fast and efficiently.
