This core exercise incorporates upper body with a pullover. Use the BOSU balance trainer and a weighted bar. You could also use dumbbells or even a dowel. Pick up the bar and come into a supine position on top of the balance trainer. Stabilize and brace with your abs. Take the bar overhead, flex the shoulders, and then pull back in as you focus on stabilizing the position of the spine. The next progression takes away contact points by bringing the feet up. You might need to adjust your position. You typically have to move around to find that balanced position. Take the bar overhead, hold your legs where they are, and then bring it back. Now inhale as you bring the bar overhead. The third and final progression is to extend one leg at a time as the bar goes overhead. Master each level of the exercise before you progress to this more challenging variation.
