This pivoting lunge progression offers some intensity by the third progression. It works the lower body very efficiently and also brings the core into the picture. Start by holding the ball up by one shoulder. Pivot down and chop across that front leg and then come back up to the start position. Do a couple of reps here. Pivot down and put your weight on your front leg (your right leg). In order to progress this, come down ballistically and come up easy. Then reverse that. Come down easy and come up hard. Come down easy and come up hard to work the back more. For our third and final progression, go down hard and come up hard. Make sure you get both sides of the body.
