CADAVER ANATOMY - SCIENCE - MECHANICS - STRUCTURE and FUNCTION
If you are seeking greater understanding of the human body’s structure and function, in a clean, state of the art setting this is the course for you. This full day course provides a three dimensional, comprehensive orientation, to the skeletal and muscular systems structure, biomechanics, and function. There is not a text book, DVD or Bodies Exhibit that can provide this practical, educational experience. We meet at the Port Jefferson Ferry between 7:00 and 7:15 AM and walk on. Ferry departs at 7:30 - (All ferry and transportation fees to and from university included in registration fee) 5.0 AAPTE CECs
1. Introduce the muscle and skeletal system and its intricacies in a practical - hands on setting.
2. To better understand the structure and function of the major joints, muscles, and their interrelationship with human movement.
3. Differentiate the tissue structures of the body (bone, muscle, ligaments, fascia, tendons, and cartilage, view healthy and pathological tissues and structures.
Note: Palpation is allowed and recommended but is not required. For those concerned, this is not a bloody experience.
