Corporate Application Intro

Thank you for your interest in presenting for IDEA Health & Fitness Association. The 2012 Inner IDEA presenter application has been re-opened until January 6, 2012. The corporate application has been updated to make applying to present on the education program quick and easy. Simply complete your company contact details, select the event(s) you would like to apply for and attach a word document with your session and presenter information.

In order to make this process smooth and time efficient for you, we recommend the following:

Read the selection criteria section below.
Gather the materials/information needed for each session submission.
Then, revisit this page to complete the application online.

If all materials are available and ready at the time of submittal, the application should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

Selection Criteria
IDEA is interested in presentations that:

Encourage fitness professionals to approach fundamental topics from a new direction or perspective.
Provide more in-depth education on topics that have already appeared on other programs.
Contain practical "how-to" information.
Have interactive content or demonstration.
Directly address the needs of fitness and health professionals.
Are debuted for the first time at an IDEA event.

Based on the following criteria, presenters must:

Have the proper credentials to present each submitted topic.
Qualify to provide continuing education credits (if presenting a workshop or lecture).
Possess strong teaching skills pertinent to each topic.
Introduce new, creative approaches to each topic, without sacrificing accuracy.
Have presentation experience in the topic area in which he/she is applying.
Possess a professional demeanor and appearance.

If Selected:

Presenter biographies and session descriptions will be edited for clarity and to fit space requirements.
IDEA pays presenters on a tiered compensation scale. All first-time presenters receive a complementary registration to the event only.
Presenters may make minor changes to the choreography from the time the video is submitted for approval to the time of the actual event. However, significant changes in choreography, class format, course description or course objectives are not permitted.

The Company Application Packet
Items you will need to complete and attach for the online application for IDEA events are as follows:

Contact information for company representative
Session Title (40 characters or less)
Session Descriptions (100 words or less) and session format (Workout, Workshop, Lecture, etc)
Equipment and AV needs for each session submitted
Presenter(s) for the session and their biographies
Video Upload required if it will be your first time presenting on the educational program (click here for guidelines and helpful tips for video upload)

Please note - If your session is selected for one of our programs, the information submitted herein will be used and edited accordingly to fit the conference program and select educational product material. This includes, but is not limited to your bio, session titles and descriptions.
