112: ZEN•GA™ Mindful Movement: Breathing Workout and Fluid Conditioning With Mini Stability Ball™

This mindful movement workout, developed by the Merrithew Health & Fitness team, uses the foundation that proper breathing is the key to a healthy, nourished and vibrant body, and that a flowing workout can encourage focus on core connection and peripheral suppleness. We use the breath to activate movement from the inside out, concentrating on optimizing core connection and increasing mobility. Exercises incorporate the Mini Stability Ball and aim to improve posture, relieve negative tension, and bring awareness to the deep stabilizing muscles. Learning objectives:

1) Apply the Mindful Movement Principles to modified Matwork™ exercises. 2) Understand how the Mini Stability Ball can be used to facilitate improved breathing patterns and vary mat-based exercises. 3) Learn how to increase body awareness through breath. 4) Learn how various types of exercise can be combined in a fluid conditioning workout. 5) Discover how simple programs can make dramatic improvements to fitness and health.

• Approved for 0.4 STOTT PILATES CECs. CECs from other agencies are pending.

• Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.
