002: American Council on Exercise (ACE) Youth Fitness Training (L/WS)
While many youth fitness training workshops generally focus on traditional assessments, program design and exercise instruction, ACE's Youth Fitness Training workshop delivers much, much more. You’ll get the latest in both assessment and programming, then go further to focus on balance and the core, functional movement and resistance training, communication, and the behavioral and emotional components essential to creating an overall positive experience that motivates and empowers young clients to long-term change. This workshop explores the true art of personal training and also investigates key business strategies for personal trainers.
Upon successful completion of this workshop, you will be able to:
1. Design youth fitness programs using the ACE Integrated Fitness Training™ (ACE IFT™) Model that account for unique
developmental variables (e.g., physiological, behavioral, musculoskeletal, metabolic, motor skills) to limit injuries and
enhance program success.
2. Deliver fun youth programs that include positive competition, teambuilding and progressive challenges to enhance
participation for a lifetime.
3. Implement effective weight management strategies that help prevent obesity in today’s youth and tomorrow’s adults.
