Explore the keys to balance and improving balance in this anything-but-boring discussion. Learn the differences between gross control and segmental control, as well as how to progressively and appropriately influence each for individual clients. Examine the relationships between sensory input, neuromuscular orchestration, and “local strength” (contractile ability). Physically experience a variety of balance training challenges, including strategic progressions and cuing (as space permits).
