Step Out & Step Up Your Business: American Diabetes Association Walk

Volunteering is an important part of my life.  I started volunteering at a young age.  My first gig was with the San Antonio Whitte Museum as junior chaperone for the Night with Egyptian Mummies sleepover.  Since then I’ve broaden my scope of volunteer activities to include animal shelters, camp for mentally challenged children and hospitals.

Youth hockey is in full swing so parents, now is the time to stock up on gloves and toques for those cold arenas before the real cold weather arrives. Forward Bends in Yoga

Any yoga practice is made up of a sequence of postures. While the time each posture is held generally one moves toward longer holds, and finally to rest, usually in shavasana. While the same postures will not be in every practice, a practice usually will include a variety of postures, chosen to balance direction of movement and areas of stretch and so on. It is the flow and balance between the postures that matters, as much as the postures themselves. There are hundreds of postures, though many of these are variations on what I would call base postures.
