Food For Thought...

Nutrition is essential for your body ..yes?  It is all integrated with your GI System, Circulatory System, Respiratory System and Endocrine System and yes I could go on.Here is my food for thought...How many of you, including myself, forget "Nutrition for Intuition?" Today I will honor again, how food is also essential for our inner self. Fuel your Intuition.Feed your Mind, body and spirit..

Just Do It!

OK....so, I posted a video to my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/dmofitness) this morning with the caption, "You don't have to be great to start, but you do have to start to be great".  I went on to say that "The hardest part of anything is to get started....just do it!  You will be glad you did".  AND....I tell people all the time that I completely understand how hard it is to start a health/fitness program....that starting is the most difficult part of it. 

What Makes Us Great?

Have you ever wondered, what makes us do what we do? Is it the body chemistry? Is it a result of our surroundings? Is it all just hard work and mental toughness? What is it? Why do some people just seem to have it? Maybe it’s in the books one reads, or the ability to maximize the potential that we all have in us. We are all destined to be great in our own areas. I decided to share examples as part of the proof in greatness and how it is achieved. 

The Allusion of Fear

Stepping foot in the gym is a daunting task. Fear, anxiety, and self doubt set in as you begin your fitness quest in an intimidating enviornment. Luckily, you are not alone. We all suffer from bouts of fear and anxiety. Growing up with a crippling fear of public speaking, I felt helpless and tended to avoid any situation that evoked such dreadful feelings. This approach did nothing but increase those negative feelings. I was stuck. The fix? Taking the first step and facing your fear head on. The funny thing about fear is that it isnt real.
