Everyday I here and see people saying I want abs. Great goal for sure but what each of these people fail to understand is to have visible abs you must learn how to cook and eat clean. Exercise will strengthen the abs and burn fat, but it will not give you visible abs on its own. Nutrition is the key to any weight loss program and it all begins in the kitchen. Understanding what eating clean means is one of the hardest concepts for people to understand I have found. There are numerous diet plans on the internet, but very few actually explain what eating clean means.

If you were to google (but not at work) best ab exercises chances are you would come across some type of leg raise…bringing your legs up while flexing at the hip. The problem with that is there is no abdominal muscle that flexes your hip. Most people mistakenly believe that this exercise would work the “lower Abs”. Again though, there isn’t really a lower ab muscle. The muscle most people think they are working with that move is the “six-pack” muscle or in geek-speak, the Rectus Abdominus.
Before starting a new exercise program or diet of the week, ask yourself, am I really ready to change my lifestyle? Because that’s exactly what it’s going to take to reach your goal. If you’re not ready and you begin a new program or diet you will not be successful. You will end up cheating or quitting and then you’ll be disappointed in yourself and frustrated.
So, let’s get real. 4 minute abs doesn’t mean you will get a six pack in 4 minutes.

You've probably done an elbow plank so many times by now that you know the drill by heart: straight back, belly button pulled in, and palms flat on your mat (trying not to clasp them in a prayer pose if possible). But I, recommend my clients do a slight modification that's a little more challenging: when in elbow plank, flip your hands over so your palms are facing up.
Even if you don't have a membership to a gym or fitness facility you can still sculpt your midsection with this oblique routine. Repeat this entire sequence five times for sexy abs, stat!Oblique Knee Pull
The number 1 excuse for not working out is time! Don't think you have time? I'm going to show you that you do. Stay with me on this now...you're watching your favourite 1-hour show on TV. During EVERY commercial break I want you to do this...
1. 10 jumping jacks
2. 10 squats
3. 10 push-ups
4. 10 crunches
6. Once you have done this twice and the commercials are still running then plank until the show comes back on. Do this during every commercial break. By the time your show is done you have completed a 13-14 minute workout.
Target your lower abs to finally get that 6 pack!! Ok, now that you've read the opening sentence and want to know how, I'm here to tell you to forget about it!! First, you can't really target "lower abs" Lower abs isn't even a muscle. The muscle at play (that's right, the 1 single muscle) when you see a six-pack is the rectus abdominis. You no more have a lower ab than you do a lower bicep or lower triceps muscle. When you contract your rectus abdominis, it contracts from top to bottom.
This challenge has been floating around for some time now. Would be a could wait to ring in summer, don't you think?
